17th year since I was born

Last 25th January was my 17th birthday, but my family were there and they're not really...the kind that're well-mannered (and that's coming from me, and I'm the type of person who doesn't give a damn!). But really, they were nothing but annoying.

They were leaving home but my mum, being the perky woman she is, decided to have a small but very...LIVELY celebration for a short while. Can't she tell from my scowl that I don't care if I celebrate my birthday or not? Really, parents can be irritating sometimes. But hey, at least I get to enjoy some really nice ice-cream cake. I'd love to keep more for myself, but they ate it all.

I'm that girl who doesn't gain weight no matter how much I eat, so I don't care if I have to eat cake for the next week or so. It just gives me more pleasure, who doesn't like ice-cream cake? And it's not everyday I get to eat them, so why not?

Anyways... Yeah, that's it. They ate the cake and they left after staying at my house for 4 days, messing it up in the process. My parents won't complain about the mess because they're 'family'. But I as Hell wanted them to clean it up. Hell, even my tidy room is now a mess!!! All because of that cousin of mine who likes to talk my ears off. Now SHE'S annoying, and she's already 11. When I was 11, I have enough respect for the adults to talk when it's their turn, but this girl just KEEPS. ON. TALKING. I gave up on her, no cure for that big mouth of hers.

But this year, my birthday is just simple, the simplest since 7 years ago..my parents made me do a party I don't even want held. And I was beet red in front of my friends (give me a break, I was a very shy 10-year-old, I don't go to gatherings much so I'm not a very sociable person). But now I have friends everywhere.

All I'm saying is, don't let your parents plan your birthday / wedding / party or anything such as those. They'll ruin it and you'll be embarrassed. Trust me. I know.
